Kidepo National Park is one of the most magnificent safari destinations in East Africa, located in the far northeastern region of Uganda. It’s known for its breathtaking views of vast savannah grasslands and rolling hills. It’s one of the largest national parks in Uganda, covering an area of about 1,444 square kilometres. The park is ranked in second place in Uganda, with the highest number of unique bird species, up to 490 birds. These birds include birds of prey, migratory birds, savannah birds, the park’s endemic species and water birds. The park’s rich avian life is supported by its diverse ecosystem, such as savannah grasslands, riverine forests, woodlands, and wetlands.  The most sought-after birds in Kidepo National Park are best spotted around various sites like Narus Valley, Kidepo Valley and areas around Apoka Rest Camp.
