Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our driver guide who will transfer you to your booked hotel, where you will spend a night and start on your magnificent travel in the pearl of Africa.
Accommodation: Speke Resort Hotel munyonyo, Hotel No5, The Boma.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Your day 2 of 6 Days Best of Uganda-Family Safari will begin with a hearty breakfast, and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary – Uganda’s biggest Park which is over 5000sqkm. Traverse through the Luwero Triangle with a visit Nakasongola Rhino farm and have a view of the rhinos. Have lunch in Masindi town and proceed to the park in time to enjoy the spectacular view to the top of the falls where the Nile plunges through a 9 meters wide gorge forming a thunderous roar and rainbow in a plume of the spray. Evening game drive before you retire to the lodge.
Overnight and dinner at Paara Safari Lodge/Nile safari Lodge (Luxury), Pakuba Lodge/Murchison River Lodge (Deluxe), Red chill safari Lodge (Budget).
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and afternoon Boat cruise along the Nile.
Today wakeup early in the morning for a hearty breakfast and then drive to the park for the wild Game drive in the broad savannah for the most likely big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76, you will continue with the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. If you are a keen birder this might be your chance to catch them later return to the lodge for lunch while waiting for an afternoon boat cruise-this will especially take between 2 -3 hours depending Boat ride to the base of Falls where you get to see the Hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the falls and Elephants quenching their thirst for the afternoon. For dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National ParkY
Your day 4 of 6 Days Best of Uganda-Family Safari start with breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda, which is one of the best parks and is famous for the Kazinga Channel, which is a waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake Gorge. This journey will take you through the Western Rift Valley’s breathtaking scenery. You will have lunch en route. The park is home to over 80 mammal species such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and water birds, which are easy to spot on a hot day. Later, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Park View Safari Lodge
Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel.
Enjoy your breakfast and set out for a game drive through the Kasenyi track and other tracks where you have a chance to observe different wildlife species like lions, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes and, if lucky enough, leopards together with amazing, beautiful bird species. Queen Elizabeth has a diversity of Uganda’s ecosystems, such as the Savannah, wetlands, crater lakes, forests and over 600 bird species, which live in the park. With this, its scenery is spectacular with crater lakes like Nyamunuka and various shrubs and forests. Later, head back to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel; this is one of the most memorable experiences from the park. Take pleasure in observing different water birds along with their echoing sweet sounds and animals such as hippos, African crocodiles, waterbucks, buffaloes, among others. After experiencing the true wilderness, drive back to the lodge for a night’s rest and dinner at Parkview Safari Lodge
Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
This marks the end of your 6 Days Best of Uganda-Family Safari wit Caracal Explorers. After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala. Take a lunch break in Mbarara and a brief stop to buy souvenirs at the Kayabwe equator crossing. Depending on your flight time, the journey will then continue to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
