12 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife Safari experience
Day 1. Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival, you will be picked from the airport by our company driver and transfer to the hotel in Entebbe. You will check into the hotel relax and later you will be briefed about your 12 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife Safari experience.
Overnight at Savannah suites (budget)/ 2 Friends hotel (deluxe)/Protea hotel (luxury). BB
Day 2: Transfer to L. Mburo NP.
In the morning, you will be picked from your hotel and driver southwestwards to L. Mburo NP. Upon arrival, go for an afternoon boat cruise where you may see a shoebill on a lucky day and later return to check in at your lodge. Overnight at Mpogo lodge / Rwakobo Rock lodge (deluxe)/ Mihingo lodge (luxury)
Day 3: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi NP
Your day 3 of 12 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife Safari experience will start with a hearty breakfast and go for a morning game drive in search of different wildlife species in this park. You will later transfer further south to Bwindi NP, reaching in the afternoon. Overnight at Trekkers’ Tavern cottages (budget)/ Bakiga lodge (deluxe)/ Mahogany Springs / Four Gorillas lodge (luxury)
Day 4. Gorilla Tracking.
In the morning, you will gather at the park headquarters for briefing, and go straight into the forest to search for the gentle giants. You will be allowed one hour to stay in the presence of the gorillas, as you observe and take photographs. Dinner and overnight at your lodge (day 3).
Day 5: Full day Batwa community experience.
Today wakeup early in the morning for breakfast, later proceed to the Batwa community in Mgahinga National Park. Hear you will have a real-life experience of the Batwa people commonly referred as ‘’Pygmies’’ as you learn their ways of leaving and interact with them. After retire to the lodge for dinner and conclude your day 5 of 12 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife Safari experience. Overnight at Kisoro Travellers hotel (Budget) Lake Mulehe safari Lodge/Ichumbi gorilla lodge (Deluxe) Four Gorilla Lodge/Gorilla safari Lodge (Luxury).
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector.
In the morning, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth NP with en route game viewing in Ishasha for the tree climbing lions and proceed to upper section of the park for lunch and later take a boat cruise along Kazinga channel for more game viewing. Return to check in at any of the lodges for an overnight at Park View safari lodge/ Katara -lodge (luxury) / Buffalo safari lodge/ Enganzi lodge (budget/deluxe)
Day 7. Game drive and boat cruise
Your day 7 of 12 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife Safari experience will begin with a cup of coffee, and then transfer to Kasenyi track to catch up with early raisers and the cats as they return from the night hunt. Plenty of wildlife in this area will captivate you on this early game drive. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along Kazinga channel for sightseeing and game viewing. Overnight at day 5
Day 8: Transfer to Kibale Forest NP for an afternoon chimp trekking
Today wakeup early in the morning for breakfast and later transfer to Kibale with en route visit to the crater lakes of Ndali and Kasenda. In the after you go to the park headquater for the briefing prior to chimpanzee trekking. After tracking, return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Chimps Villas (Budget) Kibale tourist Lodge & Chimpanzee- forest Lodge (Deluxe) & Chimpudu Lodge (Luxury).
Day 9:Transfer to Murchison Falls NP
In the morning after breakfast, you will set off to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi reaching late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli lodge (budget)/ Pakuba lodge / Murchison River lodge (deluxe/ luxury) / Kabalega Wilderness lodge (luxury). (6-7 hour’s drive)
Day 10: Game drive and boat cruise.
In the morning, you will go for another morning game drive where you will get an opportunity to see some more game missed the previous evening. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, go for boat cruise up to the bottom of the falls, which will reward you with view of game as hippos, crocodiles, among others. You will return at the lodge, have dinner and conclude your day to of 12 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife Safari experience. Overnight (Day 9).
Day 11: Murchison Falls NP to Kampala. (5-6 hour’s drive)
In the morning, set off to Kampala with en route visit to the top of the falls and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongora, for rhino tracking. Proceed to Kampala, reaching in the evening for drop off at your hotel . Overnight at Papyrus Guest House (Budget) 2 Friends hotel Entebbe (Deluxe) & Protea hotel (Luxury). (Bed and breakfast)
Day 12. Transfer to the airport
Today wakeup early in the morning for the transfer to airport for an early morning flight departure home.
