Birds Found in Queen Elizabeth National Park: Queen Elizabeth National Park is a top-notch bird watching destination in East Africa, classified as an Important Birding Area in Uganda by BirdLife International. It has the highest number of bird species in East Africa, making it the best birding destination in the region. It’s found in the western part of Uganda, occupying districts, including Kasese, Kamwenge, Rukungiri, and Rubirizi. It’s the second largest national park after Murchison Falls National Park, covering an area of about 1993 square kilometres.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is famous for its rich biodiversity, such as over 97 mammal species, including the tree-climbing lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, 12 primate species like chimpanzees, vervet monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys.
