Wildlife Reserves

All these offer visitors an intriguing experience to the north, including Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, Bokora Corridor Wildlife Reserve, Matheniko Wildlife Reserve, and Karamoja Wildlife Reserve, among others.
Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve
Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve is another protected area in northeastern Uganda that is famous for its diverse wildlife species such as giraffes, kudus, roan antelopes, zebras, buffaloes, and other antelopes.
Bokora Corridor Wildlife Reserve
Northeastern Uganda’s Karamoja region is home to the Bokora Corridor Wildlife Reserve. Many species migrate to this protected region throughout different seasons. The corridor is roughly 400 km from Uganda’s capital, Kampala.
Elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, and other creatures can be found there. Its semi-arid climate, which features two rainy seasons and a dry season, also boasts a variety of birds and flora.

Matheniko Wildlife Reserve

There are more than 500 different types of birds in this reserve, and many residents come here to observe them. The reserve also offers community tours, game drives, and nature walks.
Depending on personal interests, each of these game reserves can be toured in a day or longer because they are quite modest.

Karamoja Wildlife Reserve
It is one of the scenic sites with the most breathtaking vistas and home to various animals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, and other species that can be found in the Karamoja Wildlife Reserve, which is located inside the Karamoja region.
Over 200 different bird species can be found in the reserve. Game drives, bird viewing, rock climbing, nature walks, community tours, and scenery picnics are among the activities carried out in this reserve.
