Day1: Birding in Arusha National Park
On this 9-day birding and wildlife safari in Tanzania will take us to do birding in Arusha National Park, where we’ll encounter some common African birds among various habitats, including savanna, acacia woodlands, forest, and alkaline lakes. The Ngurdoto Crater and Small and Big Momela Lakes offer a variety of bird species that may include Maccoa Duck, Great Sparrowhawk, Lesser Flamingo, African Crowned Eagle, Narina Trogon, Mountain Buzzard, White-eared Barbet, Forest Batis, Silvery- cheeked Hornbill, Black-fronted Bush Shrike, Trilling Cisticola, and Taveta Golden Weaver. Other wildlife species include waterbucks and buffalo, among others.

Day 2: Birding in Lake Manyara Plain and Transfer to Tarangire National Park
This birding tour takes us to North of Arusha to trail the endemic Beesley’s Lark on the savanna plains near the Kenya-Tanzania Border. Other key bird species include Pygmy Batis, Red-throated Tit, Tiny Cisticola, Southern Grosbeak Canary, Mouse-Coloured Penduline-Tit among others. In the afternoon, we transfer to Tarangire National Park. This park is characterized by v savannahs with a large concentration of Baobab Trees presents a big chance for a variety of bird species and wild animals that may include the endemic Yellow-collared Lovebird and Ashy Starling. Secretary Bird, Tawny, Pygmy Falcon, Lappet-faced and White-headed Vultures, African Fish and Martial Eagles, Magpie Shrike, Southern Ground Hornbill, Grey Kestrel, Banded Paradise, African Scops Owl, Mottled Spinetails and many more.

Day 3: Birding in Tarangire National Park and Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
This 9-day birding and wildlife safari in Tanzania, introduce you to specials of Tarangire National Park, and later transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, which has the highest concentrations of waterfowl, including Spur-winged & Knob-billed Ducks and Lesser Flamingo. Others may include Slate-coloured Boubou, Sulphur-breasted Bush-shrike, and Black-backed Puffback. Silver-cheeked Hornbill, among many others.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an important wildlife destination and birding spot in the forest area, and later bird along the rim area near our lodge.

Day 5: Birding in Ngorongoro Conservation and transfer to Serengeti National Reserve
Take a Tanzanian birding tour in the forest before driving into the Ngorongoro Crater, with a higher density of mammals’ concentration s as well as birds on the crater lakes. On the bare grounds or sand tracks in the Ngorongoro Crater, you can see nests of Ostriches, Secretary birds, Kori bustards, Grey-crowned Cranes, Rufous-napped Lark, Capped Water, Red-capped Lark, the ground-nesting Northern Anteater Chat, Fischer’s Sparrow Lark, and the Grassland Pipit. 9 Days birding and wildlife safari in Tanzania. Later in the afternoon, transfer to the Seronera area. Birding on our way into the lodge.

Day 6 -7: Birding in Serengeti National Park
You will take two full days of Tanzania Birding Tour in the vast Serengeti National Park. The open savanna plains filled with multitudes of wildebeest, Topi, Kongoni, Impala, Common Zebra, Grant’s and Thomson’s Gazelles are trailed along with no less than five species 5 vultures (African White-headed, Ruppell’s, White-backed, Lappet-faced, and Hooded), while other birds of prey may include Martial Eagle, Bateleur, Long-crested Eagles, Black-chested Snake, Magpie Shrike, Brown-crowned Tchagra, both Eastern and Pale Chanting Goshawk. We spend our time birding on the stakeout for the Grey-crested Helmet-shrike, Karamoja Apalis, Tanzania Red-billed Hornbill, Hildebrandt’s Francolin, Black-headed Gonolek, Schalow’s Turaco, Black-backed Cisticola, among many others.

Day 8: Birding in Serengeti National Reserve and transfer to Mwanza
This 9-day birding and wildlife safari will enable you do enroute birding to Mwanza, located on the shores of Lake Victoria for the papyrus endemics and specialties such as Papyrus Canary and Gonolek, Carruthers’s Cisticola, Swamp Flycatcher, and others.

Day 9: Birding Lake Victoria, Mwanza Area- Take a Flight to Arusha Airport
This is our last day of the Tanzania Birding Tour on the shore of Lake Victoria and after lunch we will transfer to the nearby Mwanza Airport for a domestic flight transfer to Arusha. Dinner and transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight.
