Major Birds of Kidepo Valley National Park: Kidepo Valley National Park is a birder’s paradise where nature lovers and avid birders find tranquillity and adventure amid its unique bird species. The park is located in the northeastern region of Uganda, bordering Kenya and South Sudan. It’s the second national park in Uganda with the longest list of birds after Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kidepo Valley National Park is renowned for birdwatching, home to over 490 bird species, such as migratory birds, savannah birds, birds of prey, water birds and the park’s endemic species, which are not found elsewhere in the country.
