Major Bird Species to See in Semuliki National Park.
Major Bird Species to See in Semuliki National Park: Semuliki National Park is one of the most sought after bird watching destinations in East Africa, celebrated for hosting the Guinea- Congo Biome birds, some of which are not found elsewhere in Africa. It is found in the far western corner of Uganda, neighbouring the Rwenzori Mountains. It has a mix of ecosystems such as tropical rainforests, swamps, riverine forests, and grasslands, which provide habitats for various bird species. It hosts up to 455 bird species such as forest birds, migratory birds, water birds, Albertine Rift endemics, and Guinea-Congo biome species. The park has various birding trails which are used for birding, and all of them provide excellent chances of encountering unique bird species.
