Road Transport.

Murchison Falls National Park is easily reached by several road routes from Kampala and other parts of Uganda. This scenic drive to the park is one of the most amazing safari experiences to encounter in the pearl of Africa, which allows visitors to explore the breathtaking views of the countryside. It’s approximately a 5 to 6-hour drive from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, to the park. Visitors can do a self-drive, private transportation provided by a licensed tour operator, or which requires using a bus from a taxi park. This consumes a lot of time since it involves dropping off passengers from various bus stations. Murchison Falls National Park has different gates in the northern and southern sectors.

Chobe Gate: This gate is located in the northern sector of the park, about 2 kilometers north of Karuma Bridge. It is accessible via the Kampala-Gulu road. This is a favorable route for visitors spending an overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge.
