Bigugu Trail
This birding trail in Nyungwe Forest National Park is considered one of the best, named after Mount Bigugu, which stands as the highest peak at 2,950 meters above sea level. The trail is 7 kilometers long and typically takes about 6 hours to complete. It is known for its challenging terrain, especially during the rainy season when the path becomes muddy and slippery. Although the hike can be demanding, it is highly rewarding, offering the chance to observe rare bird species such as the Red-collared Mountain Babbler, the Rwenzori Turaco, and the Chestnut Owlet, among others.
Isumo Waterfall Trail
