Dry Season.

The dry season is from December to February and from June to September. During this season, the park receives little to no rainfall, and the park is less muddy or slippery, making it easy to penetrate and search for the mountain gorillas. The vegetation cover is short and scattered, which provides excellent chances for viewing the gorillas in their natural habitats and taking clear pictures. However, during this period, travellers should note that permits are limited and they should book early, like three months before their safari, to avoid disappointment with the gorilla permits.
Wet Season.
The wet season is commonly known as the low season, and this is from March to May and October to November. During this period, the park receives enough rainfall, and it’s always muddy and slippery, making it challenging to penetrate in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The Vegetation cover is tall and green, which might create unclear views. The park has plenty of food during this period, which prevents gorillas from moving deep into the forest in search of food. However, this season favours budget travellers as most travel companies and lodges offer discounts in this period.
