3-Day Murchison Falls National Park
This 3-Day Murchison Falls National Park safari will take you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can get up close with the only white rhinos in Uganda. From there, you’ll head to the mighty Murchison Falls, known as one of the strongest waterfalls in the world. Expect to enjoy a boat cruise, thrilling game drives, and plenty of fun during your safari in Uganda.
Day 1 – Transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
The company driver guide will meet you at either hotel or Entebbe International airport and embark on a journey to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the exclusive habitat for rhinoceros in Uganda, offering a semi-wild environment. Here, you will have the opportunity to track these magnificent Southern White Rhinos on foot, guided by an informative ranger. Your ranger will not only help you identify each rhino but also provide insights into the ongoing efforts to safeguard and potentially reintroduce these endangered creatures to the reserve. Your visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary contributes to the conservation of these remarkable animals.
After having lunch your journey continues to Murchison Falls National Park, which is the largest national park in Uganda.

Day 2 – Wildlife Exploration in Bulingi Track and a Nile Cruise Safari.
Your day 2 of 3-Day Murchison Falls National Park kicks off with a thrilling game drive through the Bulingi game track. This region is characterized by its sprawling savannah grasslands adorned with Acacia Scrub and palm trees, creating a suitable habitat for a variety of wildlife, including predators such as Lions, Leopards, and Hyenas. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to spot other fascinating creatures like Rothschild giraffes, elephants, buffalo, Jackson’s hartebeest, bushbucks, Uganda kob, warthogs, waterbucks, and numerous savannah bird species like Hornbills and Bee Eaters. Towards the conclusion of the game drive, a visit to the hippo pool on the Victoria Nile delta awaits, where you can observe hippos wallowing in the shallows and engaging in vocal exchanges across the water. Following this exciting experience, you’ll return to your lodge for a delectable meal and refreshing drinks.
In the afternoon, your next adventure commences as you head to Paara dock to embark on a water safari towards the base of the “Mighty Murchison Falls.” Your journey begins with a captivating view of the stunning Nyamusika Cliff. Bird enthusiasts, be prepared to spot magnificent species like Bee Eaters and African Kingfishers, along with other aquatic birds. As you cruise upstream, you’ll come closer to sunbathing Nile crocodiles and hear the distinct calls of hippo pods quenching their thirst in the water.
After approximately two hours, you’ll reach the awe-inspiring Murchison Falls, where the White Nile narrows through a 7-meter wide gorge in the rock face, then cascades 43 meters with a thunderous roar into a remarkable “devil cauldron,” creating a signature rainbow.
Upon reaching the base of Murchison Falls, you’ll disembark from the boat and be guided on a 45-minute hike to the summit of the falls. Here, you’ll witness breathtaking views of the majestic Murchison Falls. As you stand at the top, you can marvel at the splendor of the Nile crashing through a seven-meter gap in the rock face, creating cooling sheets of spray and vivid rainbows.
After this awe-inspiring experience, your driver/guide will meet you at the top of the falls and drive you back to the Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 – Transfer from Murchison Falls to Entebbe International Airport
After having breakfast, explore the plains of the northern sector of the park with a focus and chance of seeing some small animal species that you missed last time. After you will commence your journey to Kampala. Your route will take you through the dense Budongo forest, where you can keep an eye out for Baboons and monkeys along the way. You’ll exit the park through the Kichumbanyobo gate and proceed to Masindi town, where you will enjoy lunch at Masindi Hotel. Following lunch, you will continue on your journey to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. This marks the end of your 3-Day Murchison Falls National Park safari with Caracal Explorers.
