Day 1: Kigali City Tour - Head to Nyungwe National Park
Upon arrival, you will get a warm welcome from our company representative, who will pick you from either Kigali International Airport or your booked hotel. After you will go for Kigali city tour, where you will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kigali central Market and some other areas. This city tour will enable you learn and explore more about the culture and traditional practices of the Rwandese. Later, you will transfer to Nyungwe National Park, which is located in the southwestern part of the country. You will have an en-route stop overs at Nyanza palace and Butare Museum, have lunch and after you proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park where you will check in during evening into your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
Get up early, prepare and take your hearty breakfast, then after your safari driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a pre-chimpanzee briefing about the rules and regulations pertaining chimpanzee trekking. These majestic intelligent giants share over 98% DNA with humans, making them, man’s closet cousins. You will embark on the forest walk in search for the chimpanzees, along the way you will encounter several wildlife species, such as mammals like forest hogs, bush pigs, several birds and other primates such as blue monkeys, red-tailed and black and white colobus monkeys. You will spend an hour observing these intelligent species as you take photos. Retire and have lunch, and later in the afternoon you will head for the awe-inspiring canopy walk. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Nature walk - Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Wake up at leisure and have your breakfast, prepare for a nature walk within Nyungwe Forest Reserve. This will introduce you to several bird species and other primates’ species such as Congo Pied Casqued Hornbill, Ross’s Turaco, Black Bee-eater, Black and white Casqued Hornbill among others. After this experience, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park where you will check in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Community Visit
This day being the top highlight of the day, wake up early and prepare your self, have breakfast and after you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorillas concerning the rules and regulations. You will head into the forest with team of ranger guides you will lead your hunt in search for mountain gorillas. This may take about 2- 6 hours as you also witness other wildlife species such as primates like red-tailed, blue and black and white colobus monkeys. On seeing these majestic mountain gorillas, you will spend an hour observing them as you study their behaviours. After this experience, you will return back to the headquarters, then transfer to your hotel for relaxation. In the evening you will take a community visit where you will interact with the locals about the life style, social life and activities done. Retire and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trek & Departure
Get up early and prepare, have breakfast and then transfer to the park information offices for the briefing about golden monkey trekking. Later, you will head into the jungle in search for these golden monkeys. You will have chance to encounter several other wildlife species such as other primates and bird species living in the Virunga Massif, which is part of the Virunga conservation Area. After seeing these beautiful golden monkeys, you will return and transfer to Kigali International Airport or your hotel.
