Day 2: Gorilla Trekking—Afternoon Cultural Experience
Get up early and prepare for the day; have breakfast together with a packed lunch before embarking on your amazing gorilla experience. Gorillas have become a significant attraction in the 21st-century tourism industry. After your breakfast, you will be driven by your safari driver to the park headquarters for a pre-gorilla trekking briefing pertaining to the rules and regulations. After that, you will have a guided forest walk in search of the mountain gorillas with a team of ranger guides and porters.
This guided nature walk may stretch for about 45-5 hours depending on the location and movements of the gorillas. However, sometimes the terrain may be rough and slippery, especially during the rainy season, but it is an exciting and rewarding experience. On seeing these mountain gorillas, you will spend an hour observing and studying their behavior, such as feeding and playing as they carry their babies. After, you will have your lunch and later, return to the hotel for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
