Major Birds to See in Semuliki National Park.

Major Birds to See in Semuliki National Park: Semuliki National Park is one of the most rewarding bird watching destinations in East Africa, known for hosting the highest number of forest bird species and the Guinea-Congo Biome in Uganda, making it a true paradise for birdwatchers. This attracts thousands of bird lovers to come and enjoy the park’s unique melodic songs and sounds of birds, some of which are not found anywhere else in the world. It hosts up to 455 bird species, including Albertine Rift endemic species, forest birds, water birds, Guinea-Congo Biome, migratory birds and the park’s endemic species, which are rare to spot in other parts of the world. The park has a mix of ecosystems such as wetlands, tropical rainforests, grasslands, and riverine forests that provide habitats to various bird species. Semuliki has well-maintained trails that are suitable for bird watching, ranging from simple to more challenging, all of which allow birders to explore the park’s avian life.
