Lake Mburo National Park is one of the prime birdwatching destinations in Uganda, situated in the western region of the country. It’s the nearest park to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, about 3 hours drive.  It hosts up to 350 bird species, which provides an excellent opportunity to encounter various unique bird species. These bird species include water birds, forest birds, savannah birds, acacia dwelling species, park’s endemic species and migratory birds. The park has different ecosystems such as savannah grasslands, woodlands, wetlands and forests that provide habitats to various bird species.
