Major Birds in Lake Mburo National Park.

Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s most accessible and rewarding birdwatching destinations, situated in western Uganda between Kampala and Mbarara. It’s one of the smallest national parks in the country and the nearest park to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. It hosts over 350 bird species, including acacia dwelling species, savannah species, migratory birds, water birds and the park’s endemic species, making it an important site for bird enthusiasts and ornithologists.  The park’s rich birdlife is supported by its ecosystems, such as wetlands, open savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands and tropical forest that provide a habitat to various bird species. This blog will list the major birds to encounter in Lake Mburo National Park on your bird watching safaris. These birds can be seen while on game drives, nature walks and boat cruises.
