Golden monkey tracking involves hiking through the bamboo forest in search of these monkeys, and tracking begins in the morning at the park’s head offices with a briefing about the rules and regulations of the activity. Later, they meet their assigned park ranger, who leads the groups and gives them more insightful information about the park’s inhabitants encountered along the way. Golden monkey takes between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the movements of these playful monkeys, as they keep on moving from one place to another in search of food. Golden monkeys live in groups of up to 70 individuals, and it’s easy to track them. Participants will walk through the bamboo forest in search of them, and once they are located, they will strictly spend one hour with them, observing more about their behaviours and take as many pictures as they can. They see them feeding, swinging from tree to tree, taking care of others, which is a unique experience which is hard to find anywhere else in the world.

These months receive little to no rainfall, and the park is less muddy and slippery, making it easy to search for these endangered golden monkeys. The wet season is from March to May and October to November, which is charactered by enough rainfall, the park is muddy making it challenging to penetrate it. However, this season favours budget travellers as lodges and travel agencies offer discounts in these months.
