Golden monkey tracking is an incredible safari activity which begins early in the morning with a briefing about the rules and regulations of the activity at the park’s headquarters. Visitors are then grouped and assigned knowledgeable rangers who lead the trek and provide more insights about the park’s inhabitants encountered while searching for the playful monkeys. Golden monkey tracking is generally easy, and it doesn’t involve hiking through the steep slopes. It’s done in the lower slopes of the forest, making it accessible to a wider range of visitors. Golden monkeys live in groups of up to 60 individuals, and visitors will have an opportunity to encounter these striking monkeys leaping between branches, feeding on bamboo shoots and interacting energetically with their troops. Tracking can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the location of these monkeys. Once located, participants are given one hour to spend with these playful monkeys while observing their playful behaviours and photographing them up close.
