Birds Found in Lake Mburo National Park: Lake Mburo National Park is one of the most rewarding birding destinations in Uganda, drawing thousands of visitors to come and explore its unique birdlife. It’s the second smallest national park in Uganda, covering an area of about 370 square kilometres. It has a diverse ecosystem, including wetlands, lakes, woodlands, and savannah grasslands, which provide a wide habitat to various avian life. It hosts over 340 bird species, including water birds, forest birds, acacia woodland birds, savannah birds and migratory bird species. The park’s compact size makes it easy for bird lovers to explore its unique birdlife up close, which creates exceptional bird-watching experiences. It also offers unique birding spots with rich avian life like Rubanga, Lake Mburo, Miriti and Warukiri marshes. Visitors can see birds on game drives, nature walks, boat cruises, and walking safaris, all provide equal chances of spotting various bird species in the park.
