Bird Species Found in Semuliki National Park.

Semuliki National Park is one of the top bird watching destinations in East Africa, celebrated for hosting unique bird species that are rare to find anywhere else in the region. It’s located in the western part of Uganda, about a 5- to 6-hour drive from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. The park attracts thousands of photographers and ornithologists to explore the park’s unique avian life. It’s home to over 455 bird species, including 60% of Uganda’s forest birds, 130 Guinea- Congo biome birds and 43 birds which are found nowhere else in the region, migratory birds, water birds, 5 Albertine Rift endemic species and the park’s endemic species.  This blog will list some of the bird species found in Semuliki National Park that shouldn’t be missed on a birder’s checklist.
