Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Guests will arrive at Entebbe international airport depending on their flight. We will pick up them from the airport to a hotel where they will spend a night and start on their magnificent travel in the pearl of Africa.

Accommodation: Fairway Hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Ewaffe Cultural Center and Ndere Cultural Center.

Your day 2 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari will begin with breakfast, you will head to Ewaffe Cultural Village for a deeply immersive introduction to Buganda culture. Here, you will participate in traditional activities such as food preparation, storytelling, bark cloth making, and local music. This experience offers a genuine connection with Uganda’s heritage and daily life. Later in the evening, you will visit Ndere Cultural Centre, where you will enjoy one of Uganda’s most celebrated cultural performances. The Ndere troupe presents energetic dances, songs, and dramatic storytelling representing different ethnic groups across the country. Dinner will be served alongside the performance, creating a lively and memorable evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja to see the Source of the River Nile and relaxation

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive eastwards to Jinja, often referred to as the adventure capital of East Africa. Upon arrival, you will visit the iconic Source of the Nile, where the world’s longest river begins its remarkable journey northwards. You may choose to enjoy optional activities such as a sunset boat cruise, quad biking, or simply relax at your lodge while taking in the serene views of the Nile. The calm atmosphere and beautiful surroundings make this a perfect day to unwind. This concludes your day 3 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari in Uganda.

Day 4: Transfer to Sipi Falls – Coffee Experience

Today you will travel to the picturesque Sipi Falls region on the slopes of Mount Elgon. The journey offers stunning views of eastern Uganda’s rolling hills and rural landscapes. In the afternoon, you will participate in a guided coffee experience with local farmers. This hands-on activity takes you through the entire process, from picking coffee beans to roasting and brewing your own cup. It is both educational and enjoyable, offering insight into one of Uganda’s most important exports. Later, relax at your lodge with breathtaking views of waterfalls and valleys.

Day 5: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Your day 5 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari will start with an early breakfast, begin your journey to the remote and spectacular Kidepo Valley National Park. The drive is long but incredibly rewarding, taking you through changing landscapes and traditional Karamoja homesteads. Upon arrival, you will check into your booked lodge nestled within the wilderness. Enjoy dinner under the stars as you listen to the sounds of nature in one of Africa’s most untouched parks.

Day 6: Cultural Visit to the Ik Community

Today offers a rare cultural encounter with the Ik people, one of Uganda’s smallest and most unique communities. Living on the slopes of Mount Morungole, the Ik have preserved their traditional lifestyle despite modernization. During your visit, you will learn about their customs, survival strategies, and social structure. This experience is both eye-opening and deeply enriching, offering a glimpse into a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for generations.

Day 7: Game Drive & Karamojong Community Experience

Start your day of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari with an early morning game drive across Kidepo’s vast savannah plains. The park is known for its exceptional wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, caracals, zebras, elands, bushbucks, vervet monkeys, dik-diks, cheetahs and various bird species. In the afternoon, visit a Karamojong community to learn about their pastoral lifestyle. You will explore traditional manyattas (homesteads), listen to stories, and experience their cultural dances. This interaction provides valuable insight into one of Uganda’s most iconic cultural groups.

Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart Kidepo and journey southwest to Murchison Falls National Park. Though the drive is long, it offers scenic landscapes and opportunities to observe rural Ugandan life along the way. Arrive in the evening and settle into booked lodge, preparing for the exciting wildlife experiences ahead.

Day 9: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise to Murchison Falls

On your day 9 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari you will rise up very early for a brief breakfast and head to the northern sector of the park with packed breakfast for an exciting and superb game drive in search for several animals such as lions, Leopards, elephants, Caped buffalo, Uganda Kobs, Roth child giraffes, Jackson hartebeest, oribis, warthogs, and some primate species. Take a short break to enjoy your full breakfast and later proceed with your game drive to fully explore and spot the park’s beautiful wildlife species. At around noon time, leave the jungle and return to your lodge to relax, have lunch, and then drive to the Paraa gathering point for an afternoon boat cruise safari on the Victoria Nile.

The boat cruise safari goes upstream from the calm waters of the Victoria Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls, stopping a few meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’ of the falls, which will give you a spectacular view of the falls and see how the mighty Nile drops into a pool. Expect to see several water mammals and several water birds like the Fish Eagle, Egyptian Goose, Cormorants, African Darter, African Skimmer, Kingfisher, Goliath Heron, and many others. Mammals to see include elephants (along the Nile River), hippopotamus, and reptiles like monitor lizards and Nile crocodiles, among others.

After your boat trip, return to your lodge for an early dinner. After head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse ecosystems. The journey takes you through scenic countryside, crater lakes, and rolling hills. Upon arrival, check into your booked lodge and enjoy views of the savannah or crater lakes as you relax in preparation for the next day’s adventures. This concludes your day 10 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari in Uganda

Day 11: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

You will have an early breakfast and set out for a game drive through the Kasenyi track and other tracks where you have a chance to observe different wildlife species like lions, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes and if lucky enough, leopards together with amazing, beautiful bird species. After, you will proceed for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel; this is one of the most memorable experiences from the park. Take pleasure in observing different water birds together with their echoing sweet sounds and animals such as hippos, African crocodiles, waterbucks, buffaloes, among others. After that, you will have lunch and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience.

On your day 12 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari, you will wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast and head to the park offices with your guide, have a briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After heading for gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest, trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours, and this is based on the location of the gentle giants. Only 1 hour is permitted for trekkers while with the gorillas. Make sure you carry a packed lunch, enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, rain jackets, and walking sticks for those who are not so fit. Later, return to the lodge and relax. In the evening, go for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa people, who are an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for many years, and enjoy traditional dances from them. Head back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer to Kampala via Igongo Cultural Centre

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. En route, stop at Igongo Cultural Centre for a delicious lunch and a visit to its cultural museum, which showcases the history and heritage of southwestern Uganda. Continue your drive to Kampala for an overnight stay.

Day 14: Kampala City Tour

Your day 14 of 15- day cultural experiences and gorilla trekking safari will start with a hearty breakfast, you will spend the day exploring Uganda’s vibrant capital city. You will visit Kasubi Tombs, which is a cultural site, the burial grounds for four the Kabakas (Kings of Buganda Kingdom) such as the late Muteesa, Dawudi Chwa and Mwanga, plus other members of the Buganda royal family, making it a significant mystical site for the Ganda people and a true significant example of the traditional architecture. You will visit the Kabaka’s Palace in Mengo, which will give you a chance to learn more about the history of the Buganda Kingdom. You will also visit the Namugongo Shrine, which is one of the significant pilgrimage sites in Africa that commemorates the 22 Uganda Catholic martyrs who were killed in Namugongo during the reign of King Mwanga 11 of Buganda between 1885 and 1887 because of their faith.  If time allows, you can visit a market. Enjoy some last-minute shopping for souvenirs before returning to your hotel for your final night.

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. As your journey comes to an end, you leave with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage, truly the Pearl of Africa.
