This 11-Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife safari will take you to various prominent safari destinations in these two countries. It will take you to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking, Bwindi for gorilla trekking, Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls National Park. Expect to enjoy game drives, boat cruises and cultural encounters on this safari.
Day 1. Pick from the Airport & transfer to the hotel.
Pick up from the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Serena Hotel Kigali (Luxury) Bed and breakfast
Day 2. City tour and Transfer to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda.
In the morning, you will go for a city tour to see the genocide memorial and local markets and later proceed to drive northwards to Volcanoes NP, arriving in the afternoon at your lodge. Overnight at Tiloreza Volcanoes eco Lodge
Day 3. Golden Monkey trekking and transfer to Bwindi NP. (2-3 hour’s drive)
In the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers. Proceed to forest in search of the golden monkeys. On return, you will cross over to Uganda and drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Four Gorilla Lodge
Day 4. Gorilla Tracking.
Your day 4 of 11-Days Rwanda Uganda 11-Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife safari & wildlife safari will begin with hearty breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing, and go straight into the forest to search for the gentle giants. You will be allowed one hour to stay in the presence of the gorillas, as you observe and take photographs. Dinner and overnight at your lodge (day 3).
Day 5: Full day Batwa community experience.
Today wakeup early in the morning for breakfast, later proceed to the Batwa community in Mgahinga National Park. Hear you will have a real-life experience of the Batwa people commonly referred as ‘’Pygmies’’ as you learn their ways of leaving and interact with them.
After retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight as at) Four Gorilla Lodge (Luxury).
Day 6 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the morning, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth NP with en route game viewing in Ishasha for the tree climbing lions and proceed to northern part of the park for lunch and later take an evening game drive. Return to check in at any of the lodges for an overnight. Accommodation at Park view Lodge (Luxury).
Day 7. Game drive and boat cruise
In the morning after a cup of coffee, hit the Kasenyi track to catch up with early raisers and the cats as they return from the night hunt. Plenty of wildlife in this area will captivate you on this early game drive. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along Kazinga channel for sightseeing and game viewing and conclude your day 7 of 11-Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife safari . Overnight at day 6
Day 8. Transfer to Kibale Forest NP for an afternoon chimp trekking
Today wakeup early in the morning for breakfast and later transfer to Kibale with en route visit to the crater lakes of Ndali and Kasenda. In the afternoon you go to the park headquater for the briefing prior to chimpanzee trekking. After tracking, return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Chimpudu Lodge (Luxury).
Day 9. Transfer to Murchison Falls NP. (6-7 hour’s drive)
In the morning after breakfast, you will set off to Murchison Falls national park, reaching in the afternoon and conclude your day 9 of 11-Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla trekking & wildlife safari . Dinner and overnight at), Pakuba safari lodge
Day 10. Game drive and boat cruise.
In the morning, you will go for another morning game drive where you will have an opportunity to see some more game missed the previous evening. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, go for boat cruise up to the bottom of the falls, which will reward you with view of game as hippos, crocodiles, among others. Dinner and overnight (Day 9).
Day 11. Murchison Falls NP to Kampala. (5-6 hour’s drive)
In the morning, set off to Kampala with en route visit to the top of the falls and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongora, for rhino tracking. Proceed to Kampala, reaching in the evening for drop off at your hotel 2 Friends hotel beach hotel for refreshments and later transfer to the airport for a flight.
