This 10 Days best of Uganda wildlife and primate safari will take you to Uganda’s top tourist spots with stunning views, natural beauty, unique wildlife, and cultural experiences. You will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to track mountain gorillas and learn about the Batwa Pygmies. Other destinations include Murchison Falls National Park for waterfalls, boat cruises, and game drives, as well as Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, and Lake Mburo National Parks. Uganda is one of those few countries that habour mountain gorillas, with almost half of the world’s endangered mountain gorilla in their natural habitat.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international Airport- Transfer to your booked Hotel

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet and greet our company representative and your English-speaking guide who will transfer you to your reserved hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary- Drive to Murchison Falls National Park- Descend the Murchison Falls from the Bottom- Spend the evening at leisure

Rise early for breakfast at 6:30 am and start your 10 Days best of Uganda wildlife and primate safari, you will check out of your hotel to begin a road trip to Murchison Falls National Park. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for one hour to see white rhinos up close with a ranger. After lunch, continue driving to the park. Once there, visit the top of Murchison Falls before checking into your lodge. Enjoy stunning views of the River Nile as it passes through a narrow gorge, creating a loud sound as it falls into a pool. Afterward, head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive- Afternoon Boat Cruise Along the Nile River- Evening Game Drive

Wake up early for a cup of coffee and go to the northern part of the park with a packed breakfast for a game drive to see various animal species such as elephants, oribis, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, Uganda Kobs, topis, buffalo, giraffes, hartebeest, and others. You might spot a leopard on a lucky day. Take a mini break to enjoy your full breakfast, and after, continue exploring the park’s unique species such as primates and birds.

In the early afternoon, leave the jungle for lunch, then drive to the Paraa gathering point for an afternoon boat cruise safari on the Victoria Nile. The cruise goes upstream to the base of the Murchison Falls, stopping near the falls for a great view of how the Nile drops into the pool. You may see Nile Crocodiles, Hippopotamus, and various birds like Hornbills, Herons, Egyptian Goose, African Fish Eagle, Cormorants, Rock Pratincole, Kingfishers and Pelicans, among others.

After the boat cruise, enjoy an interesting evening game drive for more adventure. You will see various animals and birds, including lions, leopards, and hippos. If you’re lucky, you might witness a hunt, one of the greatest pleasures and exciting jungle experiences. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park-Drive to Kibale National Park- Bigodi Sanctuary Swamp and Community Tour

Your day four of 10 Days best of Uganda wildlife and primate safari will begin with a fantastic breakfast, check out of your lodge, and drive through the park towards Kibale National Park. Enjoy views of tea estates, forests, and the Rwenzori Mountains along the way. Stop in Fort Portal City for lunch and explore the city on foot before continuing to your lodge. Later, drive to Bigodi swamp for a nature walk and a community experience. Interact with local people, learn about their lives, and see traditional activities like making delicious coffee, making gin from bananas and crafting. Return to your lodge to relax, have dinner, and spend the night.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking Safari- Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Visit Katwe Salt Mining Community

After breakfast, meet your safari guide and go to the park information offices for a briefing about the rules for searching chimpanzees and how to behave around them. Then, start your forest walk to find the chimpanzees, which share 98.8% of their DNA with humans. During the walk, you might see other wildlife like bush pigs, birds, and other primates. Once you see the chimpanzees, you can watch them for an hour as they play, feed, and care for their young while taking photos. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park to visit the Katwe Community, known for salt mining since the 16th century. You can participate in salt mining activities before heading to your lodge for the evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive-Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel- Spend the evening at Leisure

Wake up early for breakfast and meet your safari driver and start your day 6 of 10 Days best of Uganda wildlife and primate safari with a transfer to Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive. You will see various animals like leopards, spotted hyenas, elephants, Jackals, lions, and bird species. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, go on a boat cruise safari along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George to Lake Edward. This cruise will allow you to see mammals like hippos, buffalo, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and various birds. Finally, return to your lodge for the evening, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Drive to Ishasha sector to search for the tree climbing lions-Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive to see wildlife like the sensational tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, various antelopes, and primates. Then, go to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience- Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Your day eight of 10 Days best of Uganda wildlife and primate safari will begin with a fantastic breakfast, getting your packed lunch boxes and enough drinking water. Meet your guide and visit the park information offices for a briefing. Then, begin your forest walk to look for mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Upon seeing mountain gorillas, spend an hour observing the gorilla family. Afterward, drive to Lake Bunyonyi to relax and enjoy a canoeing safari. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Morning Boat Canoeing-Drive to Lake Mburo National Park- Evening Game Drive Safari

Wake up at your preferred time and enjoy breakfast, then go on a morning canoeing safari on Lake Bunyonyi to explore its 29 unique islands, with stories shared by your guide. Afterward, travel to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping for lunch at Igongo Cultural Center. Proceed to the park, check in at your lodge, and then take an evening game drive to look for wildlife such as spotted hyenas, elands, impalas, zebras, leopards, zebras, and more. Finally, return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 10: Morning Walking Safari-Drive Back to Entebbe International Airport

Wake up early to have breakfast and load your travel bags into the safari vehicle. Check out of the lodge and go for a morning walking safari to see animals like zebras and impalas. Then, drive to Entebbe, stopping at the Uganda equator for lunch and to visit craft shops for souvenirs. Continue to Entebbe for your return flight.
