The 7-Days Uganda Wildlife and Primate Experience Safari offers an unforgettable wildlife and primate experience in Uganda. Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport – Meet and greet and be transferred to your booked Hotel in Entebbe town
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met by a company representative and safari guide. You’ll be transferred to a hotel in Entebbe town, where you’ll learn about the 7-day Uganda wildlife and primate experience safari. You can also visit the beautiful botanical gardens along the shores of Lake Victoria, the largest water body in Africa. These gardens are home to several bird species such as Lesser Jacana, African Jacana, Malachite Kingfisher, Fish Eagle and several primates. After, return to your booked hotel, relax until dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Entebbe city – Drive to Kibale Forest national park – Bigodi sanctuary swamp and community tour
Have your breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park, Africa’s primate capital, known for its large chimpanzee population and over 13 other primates and 375 bird species. The park is home to East Africa’s largest population of L’hoest’s monkeys and red colobus monkeys. Other primates include black-and-white colobus, blue monkeys, red-tailed, olive baboons, grey-cheeked mangabeys and several bird species. Enjoy stunning views of tea estates, forests, and Rwenzori Mountain. You will have a Stopover in Fort Portal City for lunch, relax and after proceed with your journey to the park and check in at you reserved lodge before heading to Bigodi Nature and community walk.
The swamp is endowed with several primate species like blue, red-tailed, black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and other mammals. This community walk will enable you interact with the community members to learn and explore their culture and daily activities such as craft making, coffee making, brewing, juice making among others. Later, you will return to your lodge to relax, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kibale Forest national park – Chimpanzee tracking safari experience – Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park – Visit Katwe salt mining community
Wake up early for your breakfast, drive to the park information offices for a briefing about the rules and regulations concerning chimpanzee trekking experience. After, head into the forest for a guided forest walk searching for these intelligent primates. You will encounter several wildlife species such as mammals, birds and primate species like blue, red-tailed, black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, olive baboons and many others. Upon seeing the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour observing, learning and studying their behaviours such their playful habits, climbing trees, feeding, and taking care of their young ones as you also take memorable photos. After this experience, return to the park headquarters, relax, get refreshed and have lunch. After, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to several wildlife species and spectacular views of the shadows of Rwenzori mountains, crater lakes and the scenic Kazinga Channel, a natural water channel that connects lake George to Lake Edward. Upon reaching the park, visit the Katwe community which is punctuated by the surrounding salty Lake Katwe, famous for salt mining since th e 16th century. Here, you will interact with the community members and learn more about their life style, history and salt mining related activities. After, drive to check in at your reserved hotel, relax, until dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth national park – Morning game drive safari – Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel – Evening game drive safari
Wake early, have breakfast and after drive to the northern Kasenyi plains for an early morning game drive where you will see a diverse range of wildlife species such as elephants, leopards, lions, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, jackals, Uganda Kobs, warthogs and several primates and bird species. Retire and relax, have a short break, take your lunch and refreshments and later drive to the Kazinga channel for a boat cruise safari where you will get introduced to several aquatic and land mammals such as African Elephant, Hippos, Monitor Lizards, Nile Crocodiles, and bird species like Malachite Kingfisher, Fish Eagle, African Skimmer, African Spoonbill, Pink-backed Pelicans Saddle-billed Stork, Pied Kingfisher, African Jacana and many others. After your boat experience go for an evening game drive mainly in search for more wildlife species as you also enjoy the glimmering sun set from the jungle. This is the ideal time to see big cats and other predators in action since they start hunting in the dark. Later, return to the lodge and relax, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning game drive safari – Game drive to search for the tree climbing lions – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park
Rise up early prepare your travel bags and pack them in your safari vehicle, have breakfast and drive to the park for more sightings of wildlife species and several birds, since game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park are among the top highlights of this historical and most popular Ugandan park. It is home to big game mammals such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, leopards, primates and several antelopes. Additionally, you will enjoy the eye-catching and sensational views of the park defined by dotted savannah grasslands and landscapes. After this morning game drive, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where along the way you will do a game drive safari experience in search for the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, a rare experience in Africa if not globally. After, have lunch, and proceed to the magical Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas. Check in at your booked lodge and have an overnight stay.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park – Mountain gorilla trekking experience – Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
Rise up early and prepare your self with all the necessary gorilla trekking equipment such as attires, hiking waterproof boots, camera, rain coat, hats, back pack and bottled water among others, which will enhance your mountain gorilla trekking experience. After you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about the safety measures on how to conduct the gorilla trekking experience, depending on your fitness levels. The time taken to see these gorillas is between 45 minutes- 4 hours, depending on the location of their movements. A group of 8 people is assigned to one gorilla family, and you will be led by a ranger guide and porters in case you need assistance in carrying your packed bag and equipment. Begin your forest walk in search for the mountain gorillas in their wilderness under the guidance of your ranger guide, you will come across several mammals, primates and bird species along un unclear trails such as bush elephants, forest hogs, bush pigs, duikers and primates like red, blue, l’hoest, black and white colobus monkeys among others. On seeing these mountain gorillas, it is an exciting and sensational experience where you will spend an hour studying and learning their behaviours such as feeding, social set up, lifestyle and how mothers groom their babies as you take as many memorable photos as you can. After this magical experience, return to the trekking starting point to get your gorilla trekking certificate in appreciation for the tremendous contribution to conserving these mountain gorillas in Uganda. Relax, have refreshments and take your full lunch, after driving to Lake Bunyonyi for a leisurely boat canoeing adventure. Have dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi boat canoeing – Return to Entebbe international airport
Wake up at your leisurely time, have breakfast and after head to a boat canoeing experience on the scenic and exciting lake Bunyonyi for about two hours, exploring a number of islands with magical views under the guidance of a local canoe guide who will give you interesting information about these islands such as the ‘punishment island” which was used to punish girls who would get pregnant before marriage, they were isolated from there till death as a way of teaching the rest a lesson. After, return to the lodge and check out. Embark on your journey to Entebbe International Airport, making a stopover at the Igongo cultural museum, where you will learn more about the culture of the Ankole people in south western Uganda. Proceed with your journey to the Equator landmark water experiment at Kayabwe, where forces where the earth movements are believed to be dividing the two hemispheres into two, both the northern and the southern hemispheres. Take memorable photos and also visit gift and craft shops that sell locally produced, entirely Ugandan-based based. After proceeding to Entebbe International Airport to meet your return flight, marking the end of your 7-day Uganda Wildlife and Primate Experience Safari.
