The 7-days Uganda chimpanzee trekking and wildlife safari offers an immersive experience in Uganda’s jungle, showcasing the diverse wildlife of the country. This safari will take you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls National Park, and Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda’s primate capital. It also includes a boat cruise along the River Nile, game drives, and a night game drive safari. The safari also includes a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and a game drive to spot big game animals. The final day concludes with a Bigodi community experience.

  • Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe International Airport – Meet and greet- drive to your hotel in Entebbe

    Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet your English-speaking safari guide. Transfer to your reserved hotel in Entebbe town for refreshment, after meet your safari guide at the hotel lobby for a safari briefing about your 7-days Uganda chimpanzee trekking and wildlife safari. If time allows, visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens which are situated to the shores of Lake Victoria, home to primate species and several bird species. Enjoy a nature walk along the lake shores. Later, have dinner and overnight stay at your booked hotel.

  • Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park - Ziwa Rhino—Top of the Falls

    Get up early and drive to Murchison Falls National Park, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to Uganda’s white rhinos. Witness the southern white rhinos in their natural setting for one hour. This is the only destination in Uganda where you can see white rhinos in their natural habitat. Have lunch en-route at Kabalega Dinner. Later, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will receive a warm welcome by from several olive baboons and the Nile River’s roaring sound. Visit the top of the falls for the breathtaking views where the Nile River squeezes its self into a 7-meter-wide gorge down the pool forming a roaring sound. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at your lodge and an overnight stay.

  • Day 3: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise, Night Game Drive

    Wake up early, enjoy a quick breakfast, and embark on a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Experience the African jungle’s beauty, observe wildlife including herbivores like elephants, waterbucks, topis, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, and predators such as lions, spotted hyenas, civets, leopards and many others. Look out for the abundant Rothschild giraffes which are unique to the park.  Relax and have a full breakfast, resume your safari with your guide until noon. Have lunch, relax and after lunch go for a 3-hour boat cruise on the Nile, spotting crocodiles, hippos, and various birds. In the evening, participate in a night game drive to see nocturnal species and predators such as spotted hyenas, lions, jackals and leopards, before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park - Transfer to Kibale National Park

    Wake up leisurely and have your travel bags loaded into your safari vehicle, have breakfast and after drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Enjoy your journey with scenic landscapes and later have lunch at Fort Portal.  Move around to explore the area and proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, check in at your booked lodge and in the evening drive to Bigodi Sanctuary Swamp Walk and community walk. Here you will see several primates like red-tailed, blue and black and white colobus monkeys and many others. You will later interact with the community people and this will give you chance to learn their culture, life style and activities like gin making, craft making, juice making and others. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience—Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    On the day of the chimpanzee tracking experience, ensure to wake up early and prepare appropriately with essential gear, such as a light rain jacket, hiking boots, binoculars, cameras, insect repellent, and sufficient water and snacks. Have breakfast and meet your safari guide and get transferred to Kanyanchu park headquarters by 7:30 am for registration and a pre-trek briefing. Afterward, you’ll be assigned a ranger guide and embark on a forest walk to locate the chimpanzee family. The trekking may last for about 2 to 4 hours, and once located, you will spend a maximum of one hour observing the chimpanzees while learning about their behaviours and life style. After, return back to the starting point, relax and get refreshments. After transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s popular national parks, known for its stunning scenery on the Rift Valley floor, with surrounding water bodies and the Rwenzori Mountains. You’ll encounter diverse wildlife along the Kazinga Channel, with a lunch stop in Fort Portal and later proceed to have views of the Rwenzori Mountains and crater lakes. In the evening, check into your lodge to refresh, enjoy a leisurely evening with sunset views, dinner, and an overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Morning Game Drive at Kasenyi Plains, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Afternoon Boat Cruise

    Wake up early, have breakfast to prepare for the day, dressing in light clothes and packing essentials like breakfast, binoculars, and camera batteries. At 6:30 am, begin your morning game drive to Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where wildlife is most active. The park hosts diverse species, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and more. Your driver guide will assist in spotting animals and sharing insights. After the game drive, return to your lodge around 11:30 am for leisure time until lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, at 3:00 pm, where you can see crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and various antelopes. Many consider this cruise the highlight of their visit. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 7: Morning Game Drive-Return to Entebbe International Airport

    After breakfast, pack your luggage and check out of your lodge and drive to Entebbe International Airport. You will have lunch at Igongo Cultural centre in Mbarara, expect another stop over at Kayabwe Equator landmark. Visit craft shops, take memorable photos and after embark on your journey to meet your return flight at Entebbe International Airport.
