5-Day Honeymoon in Murchison Falls

Prepare for the day with a hearty breakfast, as you will meet our company representative who will work as your safari driver guide and have a briefing about your 5-day honeymoon adventure to Murchison Falls National Park. After that, you will drive northwest of the capital, Kampala, to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, expect to have scenic views of the landscapes, dotted with grasslands and woodlands, not forgetting the warm welcome from the olive baboons, which will be lining along the way to the park.  Upon arrival, you will head to your booked lodge for refreshments as you wait for lunch. After you spend your evening at leisure, have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Start your day with a well-arranged jungle breakfast before embarking on an early morning game drive in the park, which is home to over 76 mammal species and around 451 bird species. Your driver guide will assist in spotting wildlife, including lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo, leopards, hartebeest, giraffes, waterbucks, and warthogs, making for an exciting experience. After the drive, return to your lodge for refreshments, lunch, and a relaxing evening before dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up at leisure for your morning breakfast, and spend your morning hours chilling at your lodge. Have lunch and prepare for the afternoon boat cruise; your safari guide will drive you up to the starting point where you will board for a boat cruise up to the bottom of the falls. This boat launch is very exciting with spectacular views of the falls along the Victoria Nile Delta, several water birds such as the African Fish Eagle, African Darter, African Skimmer, Goliath Heron, and Kingfishers, among others. Other species to see include the Nile crocodiles, hippos, and land mammals like elephants, buffaloes, and several antelopes, which frequent the shores to quench their thirst. After this experience, disembark from the boat and head for an evening hike atop the falls to witness how the tranquil Nile River waters turn to be awesome with the vibrant force of nature as it squeezes itself into a narrow 7-meter-wide gorge plunging down 43 meters at the base forming a roaring sound. Standing at the top of the falls will give you an eye-catching view of one of the strongest waterfalls globally. Later, return to the lodge, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Wake up at leisure, and after enjoying your delicious breakfast, depart the lodge and head to the Victoria Nile Delta for a morning boat cruise. This boat ride trip of about 20 km will take you downstream from the starting point at Paraa to the Nile delta, which is home to several water birds such as the elusive shoebill, Goliath heron, African skimmer, yellow-billed stork, and other papyrus species. Along the riverbanks, you may come across cape buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Nile crocodiles, and hippos. After your incredible boat safari, return to your lodge for your special delicious lunch, relax, and later head for an evening game drive to search for more wildlife species in the park, especially members of the big game mammals and predators such as leopards, lions, elephants, jackals, spotted hyenas, and buffaloes, among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Get up early to prepare your travel bags and have them loaded in your safari vehicle, then have fun with a well-prepared bush breakfast. Check out of the lodge and head for your early morning game drive, searching for the missed-out wildlife during the previous attempts. Retire and depart the park to mark the end of your 5-Day Honeymoon Adventure to Murchison Falls National Park. Your safari driver guide will transfer you back to Kampala to meet your return flight, hotel, or your area of residence.
