The 3 Days Masai Mara safari offers an adventure in the Masai Mara National Reserve, a renowned tourist spot in Africa known for its wildlife and the Great Wildebeest Migration from August to September. This event features over 1.5 million wildebeests alongside zebras and gazelles crossing the Mara River to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The safari starts and ends in Nairobi, and the park covers 580 square miles, home to more than 95 mammal species, including elephants, lions, and buffaloes. The Masai Mara, named after the Maasai people, is part of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem and includes notable rivers. Visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing and learn about Maasai culture during their trip. The park is also a birdwatching destination with over 400 species of birds.

  • Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

    Today you will be picked up from your hotel or at the airport in Nairobi after an early morning breakfast; your safari guide will brief you about your safari and later embark on your transfer to the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is approximately 6 hours’ drive along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at your lodge, have lunch, and in the afternoon, you will go for the game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve is among the eighth wonders of the world and a habitat to many wildlife species such as wildebeests, buffalo, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, and many more. As you drive through the park, you will enjoy sighting these animals through the savannah grassland. After the game drive, you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

  • Day 2: Morning Hot Air Baloon and Evening Game Drive

    Immediately after your early morning breakfast and head out to the park for a hot air balloon ride with your picnic-packed lunch. A hot air balloon experience is a great chance for enjoying eye views of animals in the savanna plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve, and if you are lucky enough, you may enjoy getting an aerial view of the river crossing of wildebeests cross mara river. This activity takes approximately 2-3 hours, and at lunch, you are to have a picnic lunch in the bush of the Masai Mara Reserve. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the plains of the park where you will see many animals such as wildebeests, lions, leopards, rhinos, gazelles, antelopes, hartebeests, among others. Then, after the game drive, you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner, and have an overnight stay.

  • Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer Back to Nairobi

    Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast, check out of your lodge, and drive to the savanna plains of Serengeti National Park for an early morning game drive where you anticipate seeing many animals in large numbers around the Mara River, including thousands of wildebeests. After the game drive, you will exit the park and transfer back to Nairobi. Along the way, you will make a stopover in Narok town for lunch, and upon arrival in Nairobi, you will either be dropped off at your hotel or be transferred to the airport for departure, thus the end of your 3-day safari.
