The 10 days gorilla trekking and wildlife adventure safari will take you to the magical Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (home to the endangered mountain gorillas), Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park.   • Day 1: Arrival Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Kampala City

    Upon arrival at Entebbe international Airport, our company representative and driving guide will meet and greet you at the airport. After, transfer to your reserved hotel for relaxation and refreshment. This will be followed by a briefing about your safari package from your safari driver guide. Relax, have dinner and an overnight stay. However, if time allows after your briefing about your 10-Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Adventure, you will do an evening city tour at some of the historical landmarks as you learn about their historical background, these include Uganda Museum, Kasubi tombs (burial ground for Buganda kings), and Amin’s torture chambers.

  • Day 2: Kampala City – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Transfer to Murchison falls NP – Evening hiking to the top of the Falls

    Rise up early and prepare your travel bags, have breakfast and set off northwest along Bombo Road through the famous Luwero Triangle to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda where you can encounter these gentle giants in their natural environment making a complete member of the big five mammals. This white rhino tracking experience under the guidance of the ranger guide will give you a chance to explore and have a close encounter with these rhinos as well as several antelopes and bird species. An hour is assigned to visitors to study and learn about their behaviours and lifestyle. Retire and have an en-route lunch and later proceed with your journey to Murchison Falls National Park.

    Upon reaching Murchison Falls National Park, head straight to the world’s strongest falls to see the entire Nile squeeze down a barely 7-meter-wide gorge before exploding into thunderous waterfalls into a vortex approximately 43 metres below. It is an amazing sight to see the world’s strongest waterfalls. After transfer to your booked hotel for dinner and the night.

  • Day 3: Murchison falls NP – Morning game drive – Afternoon boat cruise – Evening game drive

    On this day after breakfast, take your morning game drive to the northern parts of the park. This drive will provide an opportunity to observe diverse animals including; elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalos, Kobs, Jackson hartebeest, and several bird species. All these wildlife species will give you the taste of the true African savannah wilderness. After a quick lunch break, take a boat cruise safari upstream on the serene Victoria Nile to the base of the falls, stopping only a few metres from the “Devil’s Cauldron.” Admire the crocodile-friendly toothsome hippos, and along the 17km stretch, you might spot elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, primates and bird species like the rare Shoebill Stork, Kingfishers, Fish Eagle, Egyptian Goose, Bee-eaters, and Goliath Heron. You may also land onto some of the lakeshore hunters who retire from boat cruising, take a quick break, and then go on your evening game drive, which is intended to find the park’s large predators, including spotted hyenas, lions, and leopards.   • Day 5; Kibale National Park – Morning Chimp Trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening Kasoga community walk

    Wake up early and have your breakfast, drive to the park information center for briefings about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking, then set off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. This guided forest walk will not only provide you with information concerning chimpanzees and other primates but also on small organisms making it more interesting and adventurous. Other primates to see include: Grey cheeked Mangabeys, blue, Colobus, Red-tailed, lhoeste’s, and Vervet monkeys. After tracking return to your lodge for refreshments, lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is found between two great Lakes, George and Edward with the Kazinga channel.  The park offers a prime grazing ground for both big and smalls mammals including over 600 birds and many reptiles.

    Drive directly to your lodge to check in, then visit the Kasoga community for a first-hand look at both cultural and marine practices that will be presented to you in a distinctive way. Here you will explore the milking process, grazing cattle as well as ghee making and their milk preservation methods among others. Have dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

  • Day 6; Queen Elizabeth National Park – Early Morning game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise – Evening game drive

    After breakfast, take a morning game drive along the park’s Kasenyi track to search for wildlife species. Sightings of elephants, warthogs, waterbuck, Uganda kob, lions, hyenas, buffalo, and several bird species are common here. Take a quick lunch break before continuing on your afternoon boat cruise across the famous Kazinga Channel. The Channel is home to the highest hippo population in Africa than any other place in Africa, big numbers of Nile crocodiles and several bird species. Prepare for your evening game specifically to search for the big predators like lions and leopards among others. Retire and return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 7; Queen Elizabeth N.P – Morning game through Ishasha sector – Transfer Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Wake up early, have breakfast and embark on a game drive through the Ishasha sector to look for the incredible tree climbing lions before heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Bwindi is home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. After, proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for an exhilarating mountain gorilla adventure and take these memories. Upon arrival, check in at your booked hotel, relax, and if you have time, take a stroll through the town or shop for souvenirs at the neighbourhood artisan stores. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 8; Bwindi National Park – Morning gorilla trekking –Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Evening canoeing

    Today being the highlight of your 10 days gorilla trekking and wildlife adventure, get up early for breakfast and head to the park’s information centre for the morning pre-tracking briefing. Proceed to your eagerly anticipated activity, “Gorilla tracking.” The duration of gorilla trekking is not known, although it is anticipated to be between 2-7 hours, depending on the movements of the assigned Gorilla family.

    While in the jungle, expect to see other primates like chimpanzees, blue, red-tailed, l’hoest, vervet, black and white colobus monkeys, and many other species. On seeing these mountain gorillas, you will spend an exciting hour with these gentle giants throughout your encounter. After, head back to the lodge for lunch and freshen up. After that, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, which is home to more than 200 bird species. “Bunyonyi” means “the area of many small birds.” It is one of the most scenic lakes in Africa with 29 islands that are safe for swimming and canoeing. Other species to see at the lake include otters, several plants, and butterflies. Have dinner and a night stay at the lodge.

  • Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park – Night game drive

    After you breakfast filled with wonderful memories of the mountain gorillas, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the country’s best spot to see the enormous eland antelope, along with zebras, topis, impalas, and a number of birds. After arriving at the park, take pleasure in the trip to your overnight lodging. Expect to see several wildlife species such as the secretive, elusive leopard, hyenas, zebras, jackals, buffaloes, and the recently relocated Rothschild giraffes, among others.

    Proceed straight to the lodge and relax, and after, embark on the night game drive which will give you the best of the night African jungle experience of seeing wildlife species like Spotted hyenas, leopards, jackals among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 10, Lake Mburo NP – Morning game drive – Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

    Get up for breakfast before embarking on a horse-riding safari. One of the best experiences is a 2-hour guided nature walk in the park with an armed ranger, which allows you to get up close to the area’s residents including zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, topis, buffaloes and several bird species. Don’t miss out on taking photos for this memorable adventure experience. After returning to your lodge for another full breakfast, you will head to Entebbe International Airport to catch your return flight. You will pass through the famous Ankole region, home to long-horned Ankole cattle with scenic views of cattle ranches. Along the way, you will stop at the Kayabwe Equator landmark crossing Point, a site worth seeing the equator water experiment and stopping for a memorial photo. After lunch, proceed directly on your drive to Kampala/ Entebbe to meet your return flight.
