Major Bird species in Kidepo Valley National Park: Kidepo National Park is one of the most outstanding bird watching destinations in Uganda, famous for its semi- arid landscapes and rich bird life. It is situated in the northeastern part of the country, covering an area of about 1,443 square kilometers. It hosts over 490 unique bird species, such as migratory birds, savannah birds, birds of prey, water birds and the park’s endemic species, which are not found elsewhere in the country.
