The wet season is within the months of March to May and October to November, which is commonly referred to as the low season. During this season, the park receives enough rainfall, the tracks are muddy and slippery, making it challenging to penetrate. The vegetation cover is tall and green, which is suitable for photography. Visitors can do game drives in the Kidepo Valley, which is known for hosting the Kidepo River, a seasonal river which flows through the park to South Sudan. This is the most liked period for bird watching since it’s when migratory birds come to park, running away from harsh weather conditions and in search of food.
