Here’s a detailed 8-day Uganda’s primates and wildlife safari combining both gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, game drives, and stunning landscapes. Uganda is known for its biodiversity, and this itinerary showcase its wildlife experiences.

Day 1. Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. (5 to 6 hour’s drive)

In the morning you will be picked from your booked hotel in Entebbe at 8am by tour company tour guide and drive northwards to Murchison falls NP with en route visit to the Rhino sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Paara safari Lodge/ Kabalega wilderness camp (Luxury)

Day 2. Game drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Your day 2 of 8-day Uganda’s primates and wildlife safari will start with an early morning breakfast, undertake a morning game drive expecting to view early morning predators such as leopards, and lions, different antelope species, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, warthogs, waterbucks, etc. In the afternoon, at 14:00 hrs you will take a boat cruise along the Nile to the bottom of the falls with views of hippos and crocodiles along the cruise. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park.

Today wakeup early for breakfast and later checkout of the lodge with a game drive to Kibale National Park. For lunch break in Hoima City and later proceed with drive through the local towns of Kagadi and Kyenjojo as you have a scenery view of tea plantations and mountain Rwenzori. Reaching Kibale in the evening for dinner and overnight at Chimpundu Lodge (Luxury).

Day 4: Chimp tracking and after noon visit to Bigodi Community.

Today wakeup early morning for breakfast and later checkout of the lodge for the drive to the park headquarters at Kanyacu. Here you will receive a briefing from the experienced UWA ranger prior to Chimp trekking. You will be allowed to stay with the chimps for only 1 hour as you marvel at the young playing with mothers. After return to the lodge for lunch and later head out for an afternoon village walk. You will conclude your 8-day Uganda’s primates and wildlife safari with  Dinner and  overnight as above

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with PM Boat cruise.

Today wake up early morning for breakfast and later check out of the lodge for a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Kasenda crater field area. Upon arrival at the park have lunch at Mweya while a waiting for Boat cruise at along the Kazinga channel, here you will have an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife species such as Elephants, Buffaloes and many others along the banks of the channel. Dinner and overnight at Park view Lodge (Luxury).

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi National Park.

Your day 6 of 8-day Uganda’s primates and wildlife safari will begin with an early morning breakfast and later transfer to Bwindi National Park, here you may go for a community visit such as the Batwa experience. Dinner and overnight stay at Four Gorilla lodge/Mahogany springs Lodge (Luxury)/ Emirambi Safari Lodge (Mid range)

How to Choose a Gorilla Family for Trekking in Bwindi

Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience.

Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest to track the gorillas. Once you find them, you will be given a maximum of 1hr to be with them as you take photos and observe their behaviors. Then after retire for a day break with dinner and overnight stay as on day above.

Day 8.  Transfer to Entebbe (9-10 hour’s drive)

After breakfast check out of the lodge for transfer to Entebbe for a drop off at the hotel. This marks the end of your 8 Days Uganda’s primates and wildlife safari with Caracal Explorers
